Ottawa Weather: Freezing Rain Possible

There is the possibility of freezing rain this week in Ottawa, but how serious will it be?
Let’s say freezing rain, not snow.
Environment Canada issued a special weather advisory warning the city may see freezing rain, associated with a low-pressure system passing on Monday evening through until Tuesday morning.
Temperatures are at or near freezing; this creates perfect conditions for frozen precipitation to set in. However, with early season and moderate temperatures, how much snow will remain is not certain.
“The statement explained that due to the ground still being relatively warm, the amount of ice expected to accumulate on the ground and road surfaces will vary. However, there’s still the risk of icy conditions on elevated surfaces – bridges, overpasses, and untreated roads.
The weather service is predicting up to 10 cm of snow in the Algonquin area west of Ottawa on November 25, although icy conditions were forecast for the city.
